What Does A1 S3 C5 Mean?

This clause authorizes the Senate to govern itself choosing its own officers such as the: President pro tempore, the Committee Chairmen, the Floor leaders, Party Whips, the Secretary of the Senate and Sergeant at Arms. Also secretaries, the chaplain, parliamentarian and pages are chosen to enable and equip the Senate  to function well.

If for any reason, the Vice President is not able to serve as the president of the Senate, the Senate will choose one of its own to serve in this capacity. Just as in the case of the Vice President, the President pro temper does not have a voice in the discussions and votes only in the case of a tie.

Father, will You grace us with revelation from Your Word to understand Your governmental Ways? Anoint our Fathers to lead their families in Bible studies, in worship and in discipleship that our little ones learn to govern themselves by Your Word. Let them raise families that love, fear and serve You. May You watch over Your precious promises to us, that “all our children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be their peace.” We decree that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. 

Father help us to teach each of our children “in the way that he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Help us to prepare our children to lead through servanthood. Help them to be our next generation’s Public Servants. Grace them to be: able, to fear You, to love Truth and to never, never, never ever take a bribe. God Almighty may this youngest generation that has been so attacked and left with an unbearable national debt, rise from these ashes that we have left to them. Forgive us Almighty God. We have seen the devil ravish our nation. Let us, O God, see Your mercy and Restoration. Show us Your glory, O Lord!
