Biblical Worldview Chemistry: Teachers Class
Using the Biblical Classical method of Principle Approach ® by Foundation for American Christian Education, Chemistry becomes a door welcoming us into God’s story and God’s glory. We consider scripture to begin our journey, equipping us to deduce Biblical principles that will serve as a path to give us great success in understanding and applying Chemistry. We research the men that God used over generations and centuries to glorify Himself and make Him known to us. We will learn how these men have taken His hand to bring His will on Earth as it is in Heaven, to help their fellow man with the challenges of their day.
One beautiful example of such a Godly man is George Washington Carver. Sharing excerpts from the The Noah Plan® Biblical Foundation of Natural History:
“Years ago I went into my laboratory and said, ‘Dear Mr. Creator, please tell me what the universe was made for?’ The Great Creator answered, ‘You want to know too much for that little mind of yours. Ask for something more your size, little man.’ Then I asked. ‘Please, Mr. Creator, tell me what man was made for.’ Again the Great Creator replied, ‘You are still asking too much. Cut down on the extent and improve the intent.’ So then I asked, ‘Please, Mr. Creator, will you tell me why the peanut was made?’ ‘That’s better, but even then it’s infinite. What do you want to know about the peanut?’ … ‘And then the Great Creator taught me to take the peanut apart and put it together again. And out of the process have come forth all these products!’”
George Washington Carver then used those products to help create jobs and opportunities for those in that poverty stricken area. He worked with Booker T. Washington, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, presidents and senators and yet stayed focused on helping others.
Bringing these stories to our children builds their faith and their faithfulness to the calling that God Almighty has on their lives. Why teach Science any other way?
Please join the Teacher Training class this Tuesday from 6-7:30 pm EST. We’ll go over how to set up YOUR notebook so that you are ready to help your students set up theirs in the fall. For more information and to sign up, CLICK HERE.

Happy Declaration of Independence!
Recently reading through my Founders Bible, published by team of godly men, educators, and historians, I am reminded of how many scriptures illustrate God‘s desire for us to be dependent on Him only and independent from man and government in the care and stewardship of our lives, fortunes and sacred honor. One example is known as the Castle Doctrine.
Based on scriptures such as:
- “If the thief is caught while breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there will be no guilt for bloodshed on his account.” ~ Exodus 22:2 NASB
- “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are secure.” ~ Luke 11:21 NASB
- “And our enemies said, ‘They will not know or see until we come among them, kill them, and put a stop to the work.’” ~ Nehemiah 4:11 NASB
- “As for the builders, each wore his sword strapped to his waist as he built, while the trumpeter stood near me.” ~ Nehemiah 4:18 NASB
Founder Father James Wilson, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and an original justice on the Supreme Court declared:
“Homicide is enjoined [required] when it is necessary for the defense of one’s person or house… Every man’s house is deemed, by the law, to be his castle; and the law, while it invests him with the power, [places] on him the duty of the commanding officer [of his house]. “Every man’s house is his castle… and if anyone be robbed in it, it shall be esteemed his own default and negligence”(1)
Presently so many would have us give up our right and responsibility to bear arms and depend only on police who can at best arrive after the crime has begun and usually after the crime has been completed. John Quincy Adams urged his brother, as he cared for his son George Washington Adams, in this regard:
“One of the things which I wish to have them taught (and which no man can teach them better than you) is the use and management of firearms. This must undoubtedly be done with great caution, but it is customary among us, particularly when children are under the direction of ladies, to withhold it too much and too long from boys. The accidents which happened among children arose more frequently from their ignorance, then from their misuse of weapons, which they know to be dangerous… I beg you occasionally from this time to take George out with you in your shooting excursions- teach him gradually the use of the musket, its construction, and the necessity of prudence in handling it; let him also learn the use of pistols, and exercise him at firing at a mark.”(2)
May God restore our independence and our independent spirit as He draws us to be more dependent on Him. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
