The Holy Spirit showed me in 2020 that He was using the Red vs. Blue states to illustrate that obedience brings blessings and rebellion brings curses. (See Deuteronomy 28) Five years later it is even more obvious. But how many states are still slaughtering babies? As surely as God raised up three adversaries against Solomon when he allowed child sacrifice, (1Kings 11) God has allowed serious enemies to rise against us. You have to respect their sincere intentionality even if they are wrong. We are more in the wrong. We know better, but are silent.

Church, it is time to speak. Why did Elijah say, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord”? He knew that Obadiah had 100 prophets hidden in caves. (1 Kings 18) It is because he was the only one who was speaking…

A few years ago the Church had a chance to speak. The Human Life Protection Amendment proposal gave Floridians a chance to protect life from the moment of conception, but the majority of our local churches hid behind their 501(C)(3) and feigned they did not want to “get political” as if this opportunity was anti-Biblical, ignoring scripture. ( Matthew 5:13-16, Jeremiah 29:7, Matthew 16:19, Matthew 28:18-20, etc.)

Only God’s mercy and another Great Awakening will save us now- a full, deep repentance from withdrawing from our God-given duties, with Revival and Reformation- to honor and glorify the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the only Sovereign and God of the whole earth.

From acknowledging in the First Great Awakening that “Indeed family government did too much fail in this town” to “ Justification by faith alone” our Founding Fathers repented. May America return to the Faith of our Fathers where “a national sense of intensified, religious and moral resolution was born.”*

As theirs resulted in the restoration of “an increase of missionary activity among the native Americans…” and “stimulated the first significant movement against slavery” that “lead many evangelicals to denounce slavery as sinful” may Americans presently find our voices to denounce abortion, and all of our sins as sinful not “political.”*

So what to do, as we approach 2026 to be the Church and end abortion so that as we “repent from our wicked ways” God truly will hear from Heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land”? Stay tuned to TeachingHisStory.com. Let’s Keep Praying!

A2 S1 C1-2 Presidential Election

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.

He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector. ~ A2 S1 C1-2

Originally electors would vote for two people to be the president. The candidate receiving the most votes would become president, the candidate receiving the second amount of votes would become the vice president.

With the Twelfth amendment, we vote for the president with the vice president being required to have the same qualifications as the president.

The mode of the ingenious electoral college has several benefits:

Alexander Hamilton explains, “they have not made the appointment of the President to depend on any pre-existing bodies of men who might be tampered with beforehand to prostitute their votes; but they have referred it in the first instance to an immediate act of the people of America, to be exerted in the choice of persons for the temporary and sole purpose of making the appointment. And they have excluded from eligibility to this trust all those who from situation might be suspected of too great devotion to the President in office.”(1)

John Jay agreed, “The convention… have directed the President to be chosen by selected bodies of electors to be deputed by the people for that express purpose…As the select assemblies for choosing the President… will in general be composed of the most enlightened and respectable citizens, there is reason to presume that their attention and their votes will be directed to those men only who have become the most distinguished by their abilities and virtue…”(2)
