First Amendment Part 2
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. ~ Amendment 1
The phrase “separation of church and state” is not found anywhere in the Constitution. It was in the 1936 USSR Constitution, Article 124. The 45 goals of the communists were put in our Congressional record in 1963. They have achieved 44 out of those 45. The communists have infiltrated our education, media, churches and our government.
Returning to the original intent of our Constitution, we see that this right immediately addresses Congress. “Congress shall make no law” because Congress is the only branch of the government that “We the people” delegated lawmaking authority to. So neither Congress, nor the Executive nor the Judicial branch have authority to prohibit the free exercise of religion!
The Church is given the responsibility to build the kingdom of God and make disciples. This was done so well in the 1600’s that all the colonial churches used the same form of government in their civic duties as they did in their church duties. What is amazing, beautiful and providential is that our Constitution uses a combination of the 3 forms of government in our three branches of government, based on Isaiah 33:22: “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king…”
May the Church boldly return to teaching from the word of God to every aspect of our lives; freely exercising our religion in self government, family government, Church government, education and discipleship responsibilities, arts, media, entertainment, business, and most importantly how we determine public policy to govern ourselves in our communities, states, and as a nation.
God Almighty, forgive us for turning our back on You and Your ways! Return us to the good healthy fear of YOU that our forefathers had. Let us proclaim also: No other king, but King Jesus. In Your name and for Your glory we pray, amen.
