The PILLARS Course, presented exclusively by the Nehemiah Institute, is designed with a threefold purpose:

1. To impart the essential elements of a truly biblical worldview
2. To equip believers to be effective salt and light in a world that is presently in darkness
3. To prepare believers to rise up as a leader and person of influence in “your world”

The PILLARS Course is worldview training conducted in accordance with the admonition of scripture:

He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments (Psalm 78:5-7).

Tell your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children to another generation (Joel 1:3).

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (II Timothy 2:1,2).

These verses speak to the biblical principle known as generational thinking. Contrary to the “me first” mindset so prevalent in America today, the Bible commands us to make important decisions and choices with future generations in mind. The objective of this course is to train Christians in the ways of God, with special emphasis on training our children, and instilling in them core biblical truths such that they will carefully pass them on to future generations.

The heart of the culture revolution that began in the mid-1960s was the undermining of America’s traditional Christian foundation, especially in the schools. The subsequent collapse of the family left our culture with a “values vacuum” that secularists (who by then already dominated both public policy and the educational establishment) were all too happy to fill. Hence, Christians today face the great challenge of compelling secular-minded people—both outside and inside the church—to become true Christ-followers. The future of our children, their children, and their grandchildren rests upon the decisions today’s Christians make to meet these challenges.

This course will give you essential biblical teaching and philosophy in five primary areas relevant to today’s culture:

• Politics — how we govern. Isaiah 9:6… the government shall be upon His shoulder…
• Economics — how we prosper. Deuteronomy 8:18… it is He who gives you power to get wealth…
• Education — how we learn. John 8:32… and the truth will set you free…
• Religion — who we worship. Exodus 34:14… for you shall worship no other god…
• Social Issues — how we relate. I Peter 1:22… love one another with a pure heart…
